- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ¾ cups (350g) granulated sugar

- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups (500g) powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3–4 tbsp heavy cream
For Decoration:
- Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- Fresh mint leaves
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
- Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
- Make Frosting: Beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream, beating until smooth and fluffy.
- Assemble: Spread frosting between the cake layers, on top, and around the sides.
- Decorate: Top the cake with fresh berries and mint leaves for a beautiful finish.
